Hummm..I would have a problem paying that for that unit as it is 27 years old..average condition doesn't tell me anything..I would want to see a log of some sort on how the maintenance was done..and when...not to mention where...you didn't say what engine is on this particular one..I would really balk on a 30hp engine that is this old, and what you call "average condition"...I would almost have to see that before giving you a fair assesment...my recommendation...unless this is at a local sales and service dealer in your area...look under gasoline engines in your phone book..and find an authorized sales and service dealer in your area...or you can go online and type in Kubota Dealers...they should come up in your area..Take the unit to them..ask them what they think...they will be honest with you as they aren't trying to sell you something...Now, let me ask this?..is this the kind that is heavy metal?..if so, then might be worth it..just keep in mind that that engine is a 30hp and that is a lot of time on it...Again, without knowing which engine and actually seeing it myself?..It's so hard for me to say "go for it"...Know what I mean?..but, do take it to a dealer..they will be honest..and especially a kubota dealer....
